Very pleasing performance considering how poor we were vs Napoli and Galatasary, most pleasing aspect was our counter attacking ability (How we soaked pressure) and clinical edge (Been criticized for not putting away chances)
The star of pre season for me without doubt has been Aaron Ramsey he has to be one of the most complete midfielders in Europe he does a bit of everything. He can do all the dirty work like harass, press, win tackles, 50/50s then do all the flair stuff like dribble past players, provide through balls, can get into the box and score goals
Next season if he can start scoring goals he could be the difference when our strikers aren't firing and we need a goal from somewhere he could be that guy to score important/vital goals ala Gerrard/Lampard.
He outplayed Yaya Toure/Fernandinho today in midfield still only 22 years old hes going to be special for us for years to come
Ramsey and Wilshere with a strong DM behind could be pretty spectacular
Aaron Ramsey the star of pre season

If you watched my video you would be left scratching your head on how Ramsey only got 4 assists and 2 goals last season
Should have got double figures, who knows those extra goals could have made a massive difference.
Look at the PL stats 2nd best defensive record only conceded 3 more goals but scored more goals than City yet we ended up 5 points behind them in 4th place when they finished 2nd

The only reason we are having this debate is because of Ryan fecking Shawcross. If the lumberjack had not made that tackle Ramsey would already be seen as one of the best midfielders in the country, I;m sure of that.

Ramsey will be a great player for us, no doubt. He frustrated the shiiiit out of me at times, but I always said he'd become a good player. Never gave up on him. Soooo glad he's in this kind of form, he can only get better.

I saw your vids, I have no doubt Ramsey is a really good player for us, is on form and will only get better.
I'm just worried you're hyping him up way too early with the Gerrard/Lampard comparisons.
I mean, you could say that all Jack has to do is to work on his long passes and his shooting and he'll be at Zidane's level... or you could say that Jenkinson just needs to up his defensive awareness and technique and he'll be the next Cafu... easily said but no reason to think that one is any more likely than the other

Gerrard/Lampard aren't world greats like Cafu/Zidane though, Ramsey at 17 was better than both Gerrard/Lampard but then he got injured.

Like you lot are old enough to know what Gerrard and Lampard were like at 17

I'm not hyping him up I am comparing him to Gerrard/Lampard in how he arrives late into the box, how he gets on the end of chances, how he gets into goal scoring positions
You can't teach those instincts to players. Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Oxlade Chamberlain don't have that in their locker
Fabregas has got it, Ramsey has got it they make those runs into the box which is so hard to find in midfielders nowadays because midfielders always want the ball to feet

Gerrard and Lampard have never been at the level Ramsey is currently at.

You learn from your mistakes, I am convinced Ramsey will score goals he cannot keep missing these chances he'll learn from experience, be more composed and finish off chances regularly and be a match winner for us like Gerrard/Lampard

I see where you're coming from and I hope so, if he does then he will be one hell of a player
