Sam Tomkins

If i was Michael Maguire i would give Sam a week off this week against Salford, i know he will want to play but tough! Lol.

Most of our key players have been given a week off in the last month or so and now it should be Sam's turn whether he likes it or not!

Not saying Salford will be an easy game as im sure it wont be but we should be able to get the points even without Sam!

I Power.
I tend to agree with your obsversation to rest Sam,what I would do is rest Sam and Deacon.
To accomadate this I would move Richards to full back and bring young King into the wing posistion (he can fly) and bring Joe Mellor into standoff.
Mellor in the under 20s was just as highly rated as Sam only to miss most of last season with a split kneecap.
Wigan have enough options in the pack to rotate a couple of the forwards in the next couple of weeks.

Addition to the above,I know King is a Right Winger but with Carmont to help I am certain he would cope on the left.
Wigan allways seem to create more options on the left anyway..

Will have to bow to your better knowledge regarding the young players, have heard of both King and Mellor but dont know a great deal about them tbh, have heard good things about both though
