A rare Rovers meeting!!

I'll be incredibly disappointed if we don't take three points. No disrespect to Doncaster at all - I just don't think we are fit for promotion if we can't take all three points here.

Anything less than a win would be a p|ss-poo start to the season.

Yeah we used to have that knack too, until Venkys took over. Hmm, depressingly I'm not sure we are that much better than Blackpool these days. We don't have a player as good as Tom Ince anyway.

DD, do you think promotion is realistic anyway? I think we've dropped too far now and signing League 1/Championship players over the summer hardly smacks of ambition.

Unfortunately I think we're heading for mid-table this season, however I do think we should be looking to win on Friday. No offence northborder but Dickov had a shakey record at Oldham and I think you'll do well to avoid the drop this season.

What we lack in this division has played in our favour 3 of the 4 seasons we were here last time round, and thats the luxery of money!
Because we cant keep buying players like other clubs in this division we are forced to build our team on honest hard working players who know each others game, theres no superstars in our team just 20 players pulling in the same direction!

Last season was the same, we were not the most talented squad in div1 individually, but we were the best team!

Im not saying that romantic viewpoint will win us owt in this division but I suspect there will be 3 clubs in the division who are worse than us simply cause they wont have players as committed as us or have experienced winning a division together!

Spurr is our only big loss id say from that team last season, good luck to him though, top bloke!

Was supposed to be going to this game but apparently Donny police insisted on the game being moved to Friday night due to some speedboat championships taking place in Donnie on Sat so can’t go now.
