Did my eyes deceive me on Saturday, or has the pitch been shortened by about 7 meters?
I know we have "older" players, and "very young" players - is this meant to help them run less, or give the opposition less room?
I did not see anything reported about this?
One way of giving opposition less space

Its all a cunning plan by Robbo, keep shorten the pitch and his army of Modfoelds suddenly becomes an Army of Stikers, thats why he only been looking to bring in midfielders and defenders

according to our guide last night at the ground - it was to disrupt teams that rely on the long ball.........we'll see
That aside, his update on upper seating - they are on their way from China and should be installed some time in October
There will be (planned) a new enlarged bar at the back of the cowshed that will give out onto a terrace on top of the arena
An extension to the hotel will be added on the East Stand side, linked to the main hotel via an internal walk way on the upper tier, and there will be rooms all around the ground

That does't make sense, if you shorten the field surely the long ball will be even more effective because it will be that much closer to the goal. I would have thought if they wanted to negate the long ball t would have mad more sense to lengthen the pitch.
Unless he thinks it will mean it will go for a goal kick, but I don't beleive they have taken that much off.

Apparently there are a few linesmen with pacemakers in this division, It's a health and safety thing.
