The EPL on NBC

Arsenal fan in peace-Yes I know we played like poo today and deserved to lose. LAA blah blah blah WENGER OUT! SPEND SOME F'ING MONEY! Am I missing anything else?

On a positive note-For those of us in the US, I've been really impressed with NBC's coverage of the EPL so far. The fact that we can watch every EPL game this season on TV, on your computer, tablet, or smart phone is incredible. Gone are the days of having to pay $15 a month for Fox Soccer Plus. Being an Arsenal supporter I was usually lucky enough (hard to say that right now) to watch them on FSC, FSC+, or ESPN each weekend, but now I can watch any game that I want. Kuddos to them for promoting the EPL to the masses. Just wanted to get the thoughts of other supporters who are stateside.

Respected-Sorry...I live by Minneapolis. I didn't see that you asked me the same question on my other post.

I have season tickets for the Minnesota Vikings (NFL) and I have noticed a drop in attendance at some games because we can watch all of the games at home on NFL Sunday Ticket. Doesn't matter where your team is, DirecTV provides you the opportunity to watch them play. It is really hurting some teams. Why pay $8 for a beer and stand in line to take a pi$$ when you can be at home on your couch?

can you get a NBC link for your tablet, or does it only work in the US?

----------

You can stream every game live. I tried the iPhone while at the bar today. No wifi. 30secs to load. No lag. Hd quality. Best stream I've ever come across and I've been streaming games on sopcast, ace stream, stream torrent etc for the past decade.

But yes, you do need to be in the US.

There must be a way round it?

Will it be possible to use something like Unblock-US?? Or maybe you will need a US address to sign up in the first place

In America they get the 3o'clock games as well as everything else we get.

This will likely change someday, its only really tradition that prevents us doing this now.

Whether this is a good thing or not, I'll leave for you to decide.

Nah, these yanks are smart. You need to register at NBC with your cable account details. So you need to show you actually have a cable package with a US carrier. However, the quality of the streams will most likely move a few folks to stream the games online so the public at large will also benefit

It's not really tradition, rather the fear that so many lower league teams may go out of business if their fans see able to sit at home watching premier league games. Plus, sky and the rest of them like to hold you hostage and restrict what's available to watch so as you clamour for the football that is available and pay through the nose to see your team on TV 4 or 5 times a year. Great marketing, pay a shít load a month in the hope your team features on a Sunday afternoon. Generally, you pay 49-50 quid to see your team live maybe one a month

Im not going to watch on the phone. But I can. Any game live. Most likely ill be in the pub, but if I get snowed in ill still be able to stress hd onto the TV

I know it's not the same as watching Jeff sterling watching a game and telling you what's happening, But it'll keep me happy

To convert in GBP pay just £5 every month & get to watch every PL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, French, Portuguese, SPL, Championship league on TV. Who needs to go to the games
