What's all the fuss about Chelsea???

In fact why so worried about anyone? Nice to see the doom and gloom merchants are out in force again!

Looking back on our game yesterday, ill admit I was quite alarmed to see Giggs, Welbeck, Cleverly and Valencia, but the team negotiated a very problematic first game with consummate ease.

Now I'm not the biggest fan of Welbeck, id much rather see Hernandez on the team sheet but as long as he keeps performing like that I'm more than happy... Very classy second goal.

Considering the preseason sides were more about blooding youth and for some reason making Anderson work longer & harder than he ever has in a united shirt, I was surprised to see a more experience / safer team sheet.

In light of this, Swansea were put to the sword... And for some reason people are still moaning! Now if we'd have played Hull and had the possession stats Chelsea had and only scored 2 goals I think people on here would have been having a fit!

Yes Chelsea looked extremely silky for the first 30 mins, and yes the front 4 will be a handful. But who were they playing (no disrespect to Hull).

If you take Hazard, Oscar and Mata out of that team are they really title contenders? There defence is extremely suspect in my eyes and with no WC striker I can't see them pushing us too far next week.

If we go for pace on the brake, Zaha and young on the wings, with Carrick and Anderson in midfield ill be happy with that. Obviously Van Persie upfront with either Rooney or Kagawa just behind.

Over too you....

Maybe not a failure, because of success in other departments.

But Mourinho failed to break the Barcelona stranglehold in Spain as they came back stronger than ever last season in La Liga.

They have very high standards at Real Madrid. Don't think Wenger was ever told to win the Champions league.

Fergie did want to win it 3 times.

Mourinho has to win silverware every year at Chelsea, Premier League or the Champions League and challenge for both competitions.

Mourinho himself will set himself those standards.

yeah cos Fergie left in the middle of a season with a team in decline , with no replacement to speak of ??.
Oh, no that was Jose. Fergie left at the end of a glorious career winning the title by 11 points with a hand picked replacement ready to take up the reins.
