Well done Brewers . A great effort against a very strong prem team worth millions. I was very proud to be a Burton Albion fan last night and it made me think how far we have come in the last 10 years.
Well done Brewers , a great night of football and to me that's what real football is all about and as someone said on a Fulham forum , Burton Albions kit man showed more passion than there team and manager.
Up the Brewers
UP THE BREWERS

I have just heard from a friend who attended the game and who has since spoken to a league referee that the fulham penalty which hit the post and then rebounded in off Lyness should not have been allowed ! anyone got any thoughts ,but a fabulous effort by the brewers i was very proud ,and lets hope some of the extra fans now turn up at the league matches .

The Brewers deliver yet again; solid team morale and work ethic are a testament to Gary and his backroom staff!
We enjoyed a fantastic season last year elapsing any pre season expectations and from what I have seen so far we are more than capable of building on that finish to go one better!
Come on you Brewers!!!

Sounds like I missed a good performance.
Wish people on here would stop telling others how good we are.
We can then go quitely about our buisness of securing a automatic promotion place which I believe we will get.
The money's already down on that one.lol

24 hours on from kick off and still buzzing.
Easy to forget that I turned to a mate on 65 mins and complained that the game had gone flat! Let's face it, we were outplayed for much of that first hour and looked out of our depth but that's not necessarily a criticism. Most of these guys were first pick against Arsenal at the weekend.
When Belly and Robbie were replaced by Reed and Phillips I can surely be forgiven for thinking that Gary was thinking of Saturday? Happy to say I was wrong, wrong, wrong.
Playing in an attacking, but central midfield role Jimmy Phillips was sensational. Running at Hangaland and Hughes, they didn't know what to do with him. Reed looked like a different player to the one I've seen. Determined, getting stuck in , and yet composed on the ball.
Then to complete the master plan 'hat trick' on comes Michael Symes. Poor Rene Howe hadn't had much of a look in against Hangeland (I thought we saw some big lads in league two, but how tall is he?).
Suddenly Symesy's holding everything up, bringing the wingers in and making himself a nuisance in the box.
It lifted everyone, no one more than Jack Dyer who for much of the night had looked like a reserve player playing out of position, but now he's getting involved and what a finish, and what a roar.
Thought we'd snatched it at the death but few complaints about 'hand ball'
And then Symes outjumps the Premier defense and it's dream land.
But such a fine line between winning and losing and two moments sum it up for me.
Phillips rasping shot had half the crowd in the air waiting for the net to ripple when Stockdale's finger tips just did enough to deflect it over the bar.
And Parker's shot that hit the bar and a millimetre either side and it would have flicked harmlessly over or bounced half way to the half way line. Instead it went straight up and stayed up long enough for an outbreak of jitters with the result that nobody really took charge and it bobbled kindly into the path of Rodellega who, to coin a phrase, made no mistake.
And so to the lottery. Three great penalties for us, hope we don't hold anything against Jack for being the unlucky one. Three great penalties and a lucky double deflection for them. So all on the last kick.
Kind of feared for Deano as soon as I saw it was Riise striding forward. Straight enough but if Deano had have got it the way of it he'd have ended up half way to Clay Mills.
Am I allowed one moan? The ref's yellow card policy. 4 to the Brewer's while Scott Parker's cynical stopping of a Brewer's break out went unpunished as did's Bent's handball when trying to score. Different rules for different league's?
Last word for Matty Palmer. On debut. 20 years young and up against Parker and Karagounis. Should have been man of the match. A star is born

I am just so incredibly proud of Burton Albion football club today.
I can't really add anything to what has been said before.
Every player on that pitch - including the subs - earned a 10 out of 10 rating for me.
Fantastic summary Steve.
After about ½ an hour I figured that Fulham could do a lot, lot worse than put a bid in of £200,000 for Matty Palmer. In fact they already have done a lot worse (Darren Bent).
Riise, Taarabt, Bent, Karagounis, Hangerland, Parker, Rodallega and Ruiz - big names, household names. Big salaries. Internationals. Medal and trophy winners.
Credit to Fulham for playing them. Credit to us for competing against them. I have just been listening to Morecambe v Newcastle on the radio. I have only heard of 2 of the Newcastle 11.
Final thought. Bryan Ruiz signed for Fulham for £10.6 million. Is our record transfer fee paid still £30,000 for Russ Penn?
