Blues to bag Gardner...

We've just lost 6-3 to Spurs Reserves, we've had alot of trialists playing including three random ones, Craig Fagan, Darren Carter, Da Silva and L.LuaLua.
I'm not too sure on Carter and Fagan but I think LuaLua could do a decent job in the Championship and at least the other trialist were defenders.
I hope Ridgewell stays though, I couldn't care less about Dann, Jerome or Zigic.

Fagan would fit the owners criteria perfectly.
Gotta pick a pocket or two.

It's shocking isn't it, I could understand if we were selling our players and getting 25% to reinvest into the squad but we're not even getting that. I don't know what to think at the moment with Birmingham.

I guess only time will tell.

Someone i spoke to said only Stoke have offered what our club wanted for Dann and Jerome and that we are looking at £10M Dann and £6M Jerome.

So far papers are saying we are gonna get offered £11M the paid and i feel they will go for between that and £16M so for about £13-4M as long as we get £10M as downpayments.

As far as signings goes only time will tell, we may look at the loan market and use that as best as we can.

We was looking at Carew and Jones but a combination of wages and players not keen on the club due to the uncertainty over our future means we never landed either.

So it would be safe to assume had both players wanted to come and for £25-30K combined wages i think we would have got them.

Which is why i am suprised we never went for Derbyshire as he would not command over £15K a week at this level.

Now Upson has gone to Stoke I pressume they will not be back in for Dann??

Good bit of business for Stoke, Upson has gone downhill but he is still a decent CB, had we stayed up and lost Dann but got Upson on a free i would not have had many complaints (unless we got peanuts for Dann that is).

Dont think I would have wanted Upson back, under the circumstances in which he left.... deserted his post while the ship was heading for the iceburg as I recall...

Upson stuck around longer than RJ did

West Ham was on the up spending big, we got a decent offer and the rest is history, not sure many fans really understand that cuts have to be made when relegated.

True... but by all accounts he virtually begged Sully to let him go whilst Bruce was on holiday... no I dont want him... or Johnson back.

I think most fans understand when relegated cuts have to me made... but the cull we have been subjected to is OTT IMO...
