Better replacement for Hunt

Who would you like to see join Town as a replacement for Hunt? By that, I mean a defender and for a similar price tag.

Grant Hanley, at Blackburn Rovers, sounds a good prospect. Currently worth 2.5 million pounds. He's signed quite a lengthy contract though.

He signed a 5 year deal in July 2010 LV...
so a whisker under two years left on the contract.
Young and experienced, An Alladyce requisition .
6ft 2ins apparently - Good for defending a post at corners......Oh, Robins doesn't do 'defending a post'
But.

Would he want to come to TOWN ? He might be happy where he is ?

Me personally, I's go for a relatively unknown, Young & blessed with pace. Some one with enthusiasm for getting forward at every opportunity..don't over coach him, & give him a free reign.

hmm. We've just sold one of those haven't we

Yeah, I knew he had signed a long contract deal, but we all know, contracts don't mean sheite.

We're supposed to be looking @ a lad from Coventry, cyrus Christie I think he's called. Also a young centre half from Sheffield United

The lad from Sheffield United is called harry maguire . £550k bid supposedly put in for him.

Full backs are history...I reckon Robins needs a wing back though. Hammill is doing ok, and we have Scannell I know..and Ward...but are they really that good ?

The whole lot of 'em have to ebb & flow Jacko..
Not just the individual position.
That's been the problem for Hunt.....out on a limb, no back up, no cover. These characters are so called professionals & they can't work it out

For examples, watch Spain & the Krauts.
So easy, so simple.

It is blatantly obvious Town still need some quality in defence, which we have been crowing about for some time now. Four goals shipped in two matches is not the way to go.

If Town lose their next match, they will continue to mirror last season results, weird.

Kyle Bartley, Lewis Dunk and Scott Wootton are young lads who are touted as talented defenders. I'd like to think Mr Hoyle may be taking a look at these players.

Unfortunately, Bartley recently signed for Swansea, currently on loan to Birmingham and Wooton recently signed for Leeds.

However, Dunk could be available from Brighton.
