So, do we think Nigel Clibbens' Pick n Mix scheme is the answer ?
Available only to Adults as a 'pilot scheme' and only for the Kilner and the DG stands.
It comprises -
==============
A membership fee-
8 games.....£100
10 games..£125
12 games..£135
then a match fee ..example Kilner bank stand -
Cat A game..£13
Cat B game..£8
Cat C game..£6
So..10 cat B games would cost you £205. (£125 + 10 x £8)
Paying at the gate for same games would cost you £250.
So you save £4.50 per game but you have to pay £125 up front first.
(A Season Card pre-purchased would work out at £152 for 10 games)
What do you think ?

I think its a good move, gives flexibility and by making pay something upfront makes it more likely that people will attend more than 1 or 2 games to get their moneys worth. The more people we get in the better and we need to be smarter about it.
I know crowd atmosphere is a big thing for some on here and I was at the All Irish Gaelic Football semi final yesterday and the atmosphere was great...at times. They allow drinking at your seat and have one modern terrace for the die hard Dubs. The thing is when Kerry were on top in the first half the crowd were quite quiet and no difference to what I experience at Town. Second half the Dublin fans in the terrace came alive and you could see how it lifted the players and seemed to give them an extra yard of pace.
There were over 80,000 fans there and no hint of trouble, despite copious amounts of beer being consumed! It was my first gaelic football match and by all accounts one of the best in ages but the passion from the players (who played for free) was amazing, putting their bodies on the line and running themselves into the ground. If anyone gets a chance to go to Croke Park to watch it I would highly reccommend it, brilliant day out

I suppose if you decided to do the Pick n Mix, you'd more likely watch a mix of A, B and C games . Let's say a ratio of 2:4:4 which is similar to last seasons ratio.
In this case the savings would be £39 for each stand-
but in % terms the saving over gate price is -
Kilner 16%
DGL 15%
DGU 14%
So an average 15% off the gate price, for Adults., or £3.90 per game.

It's a great idea it was just marketed too late. Fans need as much choice as possible, this scheme would've probably been best released when the early bird season card offer ended
