The dispute........

Having read all the bumph about the share transfer, and comments by Deano and Davy..I am confused as to how the 'issue' over the £2m arose..

Davy said he spent £2m on Town after he sold the club to Deano...

My question is, why ?

Surely if it was due to ongoing contract liabilites then that should have been declared at the time the sale contract was being put together, and provisions made either within the price Dean paid, or arrangements thereafter.

Obviously nothing was agreed.

Or maybe the £2m was never disclosed by Dean's legal people...or declared by Davy's legal people...but how do you 'miss' £2m ?

Somewhere something went very wrong at the point of sale with regards to ongoing liabilites and commitments...and that seems to be the running sore which has persisted for 10 years..

Anybody got any ideas ?

hadn't thought of that....

But, if you were buying a house, you agree the price...sign contracts..move in...check the utility meters correlate with the final readings and that the owners haven't taken the radiators and the bath etc...job done...Then the seller comes back some time later and says; oh hang on..I've been paying for magazine subsciptions you've been getting, or something...do you just cough up the money ?

Obviously Ken wasn't going to sell up unless certain conditions were met....one of them being he wanted his HTAFC investment paid back in full

Ken Davy is a businessman, so no way was he going to just give the shares back

It's all a bit vague isn't it.
'He said, I said' sort of stuff.
3 different factions with separate interests operating the same venue.
'Too many Cooks spoil the Broth' and all that ?

Lets address basic functions that have gone to pot...
We Were 2nd in that Food & drink catering league years ago(Fact).... Lets be 2nd again & try to be 1st,
That's a viable positive,
Do the simple things well. & build from there.
Or is it all too much trouble, too hard .....?

Anyway...moving forward...I reckon Deano will be bringing in a partner in 2 or 3 years, to get us up to the 'next level'... He's spent a fair bit has DH and he doesn't want any of it back...Town will have Canalside as a top class Academy complex, shares in the whole 50 acre site and hopefully HDOne starting off...

Things are looking good for the future...and maybe next season we will have a sniff at the play-offs..just to whet our appetite

Onwards and forwards
