I know he had the odd off day for Villa but every cross, corner and pass he hit went straight to a Ukrane player!
Manyoo have ruined him and C.iteh have ruined Milner. Ah well they have their medals and huge paydays.

I like Young, or liked him when he was on top form. Currently he is useless, and has been for some time. Yet he was brought on yesterday, presumably to inject some attacking threat (all he did was give the opposition the ball). Would Gabby have been a better choice? Dead right he would. It's not just his speed. What we're seeing now from him is huge techical skill plus years of experience. He is an option which England should be using.

I don't buy this "Villa players aren't good enough". The fact is half the England squad are not good enough. Personally I think it would be sensible to wait a year or two before including players like Lowton, Westwood and Delph. But then I look at the young players who are being included almost before they've played a senior game, and wonder where sense fits in the England camp.

And given the thin array of talent we have up front, then Bent should be in the squad as well. People should stop complaining about the supposed lack of English talent and start asking why half the talent we do have doesn't get a look in.

Young was awful when he came on we got a good deal out of that

The back four played well, midfield Gerrard apart was woeful, and Lambert just aint good enough, but tries hard.

As for Villa I am glad that we have no one involved as it is dire and the only who could at the moment Gabby will be banned for weeks for that challenge on that poor little One Direction star
