Mertesacker is back!

Özil still recovering slightly from illness, and a little muscle stiffness. Wenger says he's optimistic though.

Giroud to have a test tomorrow as he is the biggest doubt hopefully he makes it through. Wenger said that Walcott is the obvious replacement but he will decide later.


We should be reasonably strong for the game (well, our first XI will be). Only change I expect to see, if Giroud is fit, will be Mert in for Sagna. Possibly Monreal will come in for Gibbs to give him a rest but I doubt it.

if Giroud is fit then my changes would be Mertesacker and monreal in for Gibbs and Sagna. Gibbs is injury prone as fk and sagna needs a rest

Well if we had a bigger squad and had replaced the hardwood players we had let go most of this won't be happening.
