What were everyones thoughts on the game last night.
Cant really complain about a match we won 3-0 but the performance during the 1st half and for much of the 2nd was poor.
Nothing too much to worry about but I felt we missed a controlling midfielder. Too many long balls and not enough possession. I think we really missed an Ian Black / Lewis MacLeod type in the middle.
Here's my thoughts on the team -
Bell - Quite a few decent saves when called into action. One poor attempt to control the ball with his feet almost led to a goal but solid all round.
Foster - Did not impress. First game in for weeks so I wont be too hard on him. Kyle McAusland has put in better performances at RB for us this year.
McCulloch - Not his best game in defence but far from his worst. Took his goal well.
Mohsni - Threw himself at everything. Probably kept us 1-0 up when Bell messed up. Think he looks like a really good signing if he can keep playing like that. 2 goals in 2 games also which is a great return.
Wallace - Not much going forward, just back from injury, comfortable.
Crawford - Didn't get into the game enough for me. Looks lost at times on the right wing.
Peralta - Put himself about and went for every ball. You can already tell he is going to pick up a ton of bookings. Decent delivery from set peices and looks like he has a rocket of a shot in him.
Law - Decent and didnt have too many problems.
Smith - Did lots of running but didn't impress me at all. Again, he hasn't played much for months so will hopefully improve with time.
Little - Chasing the ball for most of the night. A few decent touches and runs but no real goal scoring chances.
Daly - Quite quiet. A couple of half chances before his well taken header.
Felt quite sorry for Seb Faure. He's been terrific for us this year and he's now found himself on the bench. Hopefully he can prove himself at CB and maybe form a partnership with Mohsni.
All in all, no stand out performances and not a memorable game but a decent result.

Massive improvement on last season, thats the main thing I am taking away from this game.
Last season at the same stage of the competition we went down to this lot on penalties at Ibrox.
This season, we have beaten them 3-0 on their own patch.....a marked improvement.
When we were almost winning the cups nearly every season from 2008 - 2011, A lot of the time the performances in the cup games were atrocious but we done enough to see us through.
Cant complain about a 3-0 away win when in the past with a far superior side we scraped past teams from lesser divisions in these kind of matches

Getting a bit pi$$ed off hearing this
"It would be great to win the Ramsdens Cup, but we want to win every cup we're in"
Losing to Forfar was a disaster then Ally surely, are you admitting it or you still blaming Green??
