2013 F1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix

Ladies and Gentlemen, truth be told, I was not really keen on doing a race thread as the fizzy drinks company and the finger have knocked my enthusiasm. Anyways, since I’m a creature of habit, I will go on for the good of the board. We are back to a high downforce track so hopefully someone can try to provide a challenge but I fear for the championship and the future of F1 is Vettel’s dominance continues. Not his winning, but the ease with which he does.

In other news, the ice man is joining the matador so Ferrari without a shadow of a doubt have the best driver pairing for next season. We need Vettel to crash here or we might as well just go home and wait for next year.

So let's begin;

A Few Facts

The Singapore Grand Prix has been run five times previously, all at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The inaugural event in 2008 was the first F1 race to be run at night under floodlights and was won, somewhat controversially, by Renault’s Fernando Alonso.

The Marina Bay Street Circuit has 23 corners - the most of any circuit on the calendar.

The safety car has been deployed at least once in every Singapore Grand Prix to date. There have been eight deployments in total over the five previous Marina Bay races.

The pit lane delta time in Singapore (the time it takes a driver to enter the pits, make a stop and return to the track) is the highest of the season.

I am pleased with this result, a German driver winning every year will help keep all Bernie's good business friends happy and it also helps Bernie's court case in Germany, which is being mysteriously delayed. (Again)

The way Bernie makes so much money from such a predictable little side-show in magnificent and certainly helps to make him a very rich man at our expense.

I just loved that, "Stay 2 seconds behind Alonso", comment.
Why didn't they add, "We don't want you spoiling anything "?

I MUST renew my passport!

It made me laugh to hear Ted Kravitz being constantly surprised at the amount of British people he met in Singapore.
Almost as if he had never read a history book!

Webbers got himself a 10 place penalty for Korea because he hitched a lift with Alonso. His 3rd reprimand of the season.

Can't really complain about this result, the red bull is just a class apart at the moment. Vettel could have stopped 6 times today and still won, just quality.

I don't agree with booing vettel - I cheered at Stowe when the car broke in Silverstone but once a race is over then you should clap the winner, especially if it is such a dominant performance.

Good effort by JB, great work by Alonso and Kimi to eke out 2 stops, disappointed with di resta throwing a likely 6th into the wall.

I'm looking forward to next season now, hopefully the regs will be good equaliser!

That is a shambolic decision

Check the cctv, it was really dangerous. I don't disagree with them both getting a reprimand.
