Just had to have a wee chuckle to myself at Ayr boss, Mark Roberts comments after the game on Sunday.
"The second goal, when you watch it back, is dangerous play."
"Kevin Kyle was pulled up in the first half for putting his feet into Ian Black, who is about 2ft 3in."
"He gets pulled up for that but someone can overhead kick the ball in the box at head height. I was disappointed with some decisions."
Obviously this was a big occasion for Ayr and Roberts, so I think he maybe got a wee bit over excited about everything, so I wont be too hard on him for these ridiculous comments.
I think he was also greeting about the free kick for Mohsni's goal being a dive or something? Cant remeber the incident myself but their players seem to go for every ball elbows first.
Whats everyones thoughts on Peralta? He obviously likes a wee tumble and roll about but I dont think there were any incidents where he wasn't actually fouled. Yeah maybe he makes the most of them but the foul still happened.
I think if we give the guy a full season he could be a really solid player for us.

Was a very hard tought tackling game, lost count of the number of times Daly got clattered.
Think Marko got a bit over excited, can understand his frustrations, there were a lot of fouls and it made it into a right stop/start game, apart from Peralta maybe over egging it a bit when he got a wee kick most of the free kicks given were justified, and some Ayr players escaped without bookings when they should have picked up one so I felt it balanced itself out pretty evenly myself

I had a look back and there is an Ayr player close to MacLeod. But when I say close, I mean at least 1ft away. Plus, he didnt come close to kicking him in the face or anything.
Just a bit of sour grapes I think.
I'd say Ayr have definitely been the most physical, aggressive side we have played this season and the players handled it well.
I dont care if this sounds offensive or like stereotyping but Peralta has played all his life in South America. If you have ever seen a normal league match from Brazil or Argentina, you'll see that the kind of over the top milking of challenges is part of the norm.
Give Peralta a few months and I think he'll grow out of it a bit.

I think the phrase "the ref let them play" came into effect yesterday
Some pretty dull one's, think the Ayr players were up for it and it showed in their challenges, don't like the use of the elbows, happened 3 or 4 times yesterday

How none of the Ayr players got booked for the elbows on Jon Daly is incredible.
Wee Forrest looks a player...he's definitely got the potential to be head and shoulders above his brother.
