So, not actually Arsenal related but wanted to get your opinions on this 'wonder goal' from Ravel Morrison on the weekend.
Is it just me or it is massively overrated, saw an article on the internet comparing it to Michael Owen's v Argentina, and even Maradona v England in '86
Yes he ran from his own half, but he only really took on one man and that was Dawson so probably doesn't even count. The chip was quite nice I guess but didn't have enough on it for me and only trickled into the net.
Anyway, maybe I'm being harsh but those are my thoughts
As a side note - top at the international break
Ravel - THAT goal

In fairness it was poor defending, where was Walker as cover?
Bad day!

Great goal.
But, one journo/commentator (can't remember who it was right now) said it was "easily one of the all time top-3 goals in the Premier League era";
Naturally I was waiting in anticipation to catch the said "goal" on MOTD2, only to be a bit underwhelmed! Don't get me wrong, it was a stunning goal, great run and beautiful finish, but "one of the top 3 Premier League goals OF ALL TIME"????
Naaah!

That's the problem I guess. Ravel is young and English so it's a better story. Amalfitano's goal the week before was better.

Anyone scores a decent goal now and somebody has to call it "the best goal since blablah". Hype and hyperbole are king.
It was good, but he beat one man (who happens to be one of the slowest players OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE ERA). One! Tidy finish though.

Fabregas vs Spurs was better

Decent goal. But when you get idiots coming out "it was touch of genius" then that's when you know it's all hype.

I don't think you can compare a goal scored against Spurs to a goal scored against a decent team
