Is Vasyl Lomachenko destined for greatness in the pro ranks?
Lomachenko is arguably the greatest amateur boxer of all time, with an astonishing record 396 wins with only 1 defeat and that defeat being avenged twice.
He is a two time Olympic gold medalist and a two time World championship gold medalist.
He beats his opponents by a wide margin, receiving wide accolades for his boxing skills
He makes his pro debut tonight on the Bradley vs Marquez undercard, but unlike nearly all novices to the pro game, he is not in no 4 round fight against some bum getting paid to be KOed.
He goes straight into a 12 round fight for the WBO International featherweight Championship belt against a very experience pro Jose Ramirez (25-3), who has never been stopped.
It certainly looks like they are fast tracking him to a world title, which could effectively come in his 3rd fight.
They are already talk about Lomachenko fight another great amateur who has made it in the pro game, Rigondeux, a fight which could take place next year.
So how do you think he will do tonight? Have they rushed him into a big fight too soon? Or is he the next big thing in boxing and will be one of the greatest in the pro game too?
Vasyl Lomachenko 396-1

He has not even had a pro fight as yet, don't you think people are getting a little carried away?

I don't know haven't even seen highlights of him, but if he's good as people say, I'd like him to take on Donaire before Rigo

The pros are a totally different kettle. The central nervous system has to get used to head shots, sounds silly but that first smack unguarded is so sickening for many fighters they ever recover...Audley. Unless u are a natural knuckler as I call it, the pro ranks will eat u up.
