Kicking the ball out

Where do you all stand on kicking the ball out when an opposition player is down injured?

I personally can't stand it. The referee is there, leave it to him.

Think physio's and 4th official should be able to make the decision as to whether instant treatment is necessary. No need to stop the game at all, imo, bar serious injuries.

Whenever there is a bad injury players are quick to recognise it anyway.

Should always be done but cheap time wasting tactics have ruined it.

Leave it to the ref

play to the whistle, all the time, nevermind opposition players whingeing, the ref is in charge not them, go down the route of letting players decide where and when to stop play and we might as well call it a day, too much tactical timewasting creeping in to the game.

Do what they do in rugby and allow the physio on to treat the player whilst the game continues.

If its a really bad one, and it doesn't take long to establish that, then stop the game. Otherwise keep going. Lets see how long Divey McDiverson stays on the deck when his teammates are screaming at him to get up and help!

It's time to do away with this ridiculous rule. The worst bit is a genuinely injured player has to leave the field after treatment, reducing a side to 10 even though they've done nothing wrong!

Hate it, introduced as sportsmanship but high jacked to be used in the complete opposite way it was intended and used as a tactic. Your team have a counter attack and a player goes down feigning injury in an attempt to hails play, then if you don't kick to hall out fan boo with this air of morale when for me it is blatant cheating.

I think this winds me up as much as anything in the game, as others have said leave it to the ref.

You're not stopping a player receiving treatment by playing on.

Its the hypocrisy of the fans that annoys me. Everyone knows what the rule is now.

You hear them booing when its the other team that has the ball but urging their team on when the situation is reversed.

It's just mad to me how players will voluntarily give teams a reprieve by kicking it out. If I was a manager I would have a policy that if they kicked it out in that manner they would be immediately hooked and dropped for the next game. Players are paid to play the game and give 100%, not referee.

It's Ashley Cole that annoys me.
