Tag team division.

The psyche made an article below and I got to the first match and for some inexplicable reason, I found myself filed with unbridled rage towards the tag team division and its lack thereof "tag teams".

Much like Arsenal, who over the years have had a prolific striker. The E have always had a solid tag team roster. Now just like the Gunners, the company has castrated the division so much that the belts are used as tokens of goodwill almost, handed to micard singles competitors to both satiate itchy feet and easy lazy storylines.

From the British Bulldogs to the Rockers, to the Dudley boys, Hardy's and of course edge and christian. The E has always had at least 2 tag teams who could sit high on an event card and draw big attention.

Now we have the Usos....they are being pushed and I hate it. The delivery of the push is all the more galling as they offer no believability in the role. They lack charisma, have outdated 90s beach boy imaging and they are cringeworthy to watch, so very Nickelodeon.

The ptp however have of it all. Charisma, team beleivabilty and a good gimmick which serves as a pastiche to a particular sub culture. WIN

The matadors, well IMO they would work if thy swapped the sideshow dwarf for a Irwin r shytster character who is actually exploiting the pair for personal gain, whilst being hard himself. Possible WIN

The other two I forget, but their manager is fit....That shows how superfluous they are...FAIL


The real Americans, 3mb etc are all lazy lazy lazy offerings by the E. A bit like x factor making average solo singers a group.

That's all I can think from the top of my head, and what's worse is I cannot remember a single great tag match in the last 10 years.

I have not included the shield as I see them as a faction rather than a tag team, same with the Wyatt's. So I won't comment there.

But if its true the Levasque is looking to ressurect the tag division, then I'm hopeful as I'm pig sick of seeing such a prestigious entity wasted.
