Dissapointing result but not too unexpected to be honest . We have too many players at the moment who are not playing at the top of their game , so against the stronger sides we will be found out . We were due a bad away result to be fair , but it will be interesting with two home games to come how we react and whether we can bounce back and pick up max points . Its a very tight league thankfully, with no side capable of obtaining a commanding lead at the top. Looking at our side at present Gary obviously prefers Pickford between the sticks , Delap has been missed for me ,although Edwards has done ok since he has had a run in the side . Sharps and Cansdell -Sheriff apear to have the vote over Diamond although to me Zander would be one of my first names down on my team sheet . McCrory had a steady game today and would get my vote although to be fair he doesnt really have much competition . Now onto the midfield , Bell is playing badly and needs to be dropped Macdonald doesnt do it for me im sorry and Reid has dissapeared off the radar , Weir and Palmer would be my first choice at the moment . As for the forwards Rumours are rife that Howe is to go out on loan with Plymouth and is obviously out of favour with Gary .Kee is off form ?? strange one as i thought he would do well with losing weight during close season. McGurk is doing well but is no target man , Hussey and Phillips are a luxury but on their day can put in some good crosses . We possibly need a striker in on loan unless we give Symes a run but he got injured today !! . As you can tell im a bit fustrated by our team at the moment ,one week we can be world beaters and the next we look like a side who havent played together before . Your thoughts lads !!

A very disappointing result, but not the end of the world as the table is very tight. I know you can not win them all and the way we are blowing hot and cold with the results , I see no reason why we don't finish mid table with no fear of a dog fight at the bottom of the table. There are a lot of teams in this league still in the mix and if they put a run of 3 or 4 wins on a trot , they will be back up the top. The question is will it be Burton? From what I have seen up till now maybe mid table and a good run in the FA cup is more than we could ask for.

Thanks for your comments Emnez , you are right 100% the Burton public are either into other sports , cannot afford to watch football each week or just focus on sky sports for their entertainment . The Albion have always had a soft spot in my life ,ever since my father took me to watch them when we won the southern league cup against Weymouth all those years ago . I got brought up on non -league have always been happy following the Albion at that sort of level ,but the last few years have been the icing on the cake for me ,but of course you get greedy for success and want more and more . Thanks for the reality check ,i dont really need one as the sooner we get to 50pts the better for me , but it doesnt stop me dreaming !!

Stuart my friend the comments i have made were not meant to stop you dreaming of success for our football club i like you want us to be a winning club but only if we can sustain it financially.Looking back has you have it was 1965 i saw my first Albion game and my word if we make the same progress we should be in the Championship in about 2050.

For me there are several schools of thought and all of them are equally valid. You could be in one or all of these camps;
- The 'Alex Ferguson disregard the league table until February' camp.
- The 'we over achieved last year' and 'we should be happy with mid-table' camp.
- The 'let's not get carried away with success or failure on any given Saturday as by and large we are doing tremendously well on and off the pitch' camp.
- The 'these players could and should be doing much better' camp.
- The 'sick of the garbage football presently being served up' camp.
I hop about between all of these. The extremely poor football is the one that I cannot get comfortable with in my own mind. Going to games at present is something that I am beginning to have trouble justifying to myself.

Otep ,I think you will continue to go because you love the club like myself , and if you stopped you would feel like I do ,on alternate saturdays when we play away. But maybe we have been spoilt last season by the home form or maybe we are still missing our two from last season who have moved on to higher league clubs .I looked on You Tube earlier at the highlights from yesterday and Hines did con the ref for the penalty ,but on the balance of play they did seem to shade it . Then I clicked on Zola scoring for Aberdeen and wished we still had him as our target man .

Agree with a lot that of what's been said.
The crowd debate will always be around but again as most on here know its one of my issues with chairman Ben.
Try advertising outside the ground who we are playing.
Most teams advertise the next fixtures visible to everyone that passes the ground.
Not so the brewers, we advertise wedding fairs.
To be honest our home performances don't warrant people turning up .
Agree the season has a long way to go and I've said it before that we have a squad good enough to go up.
Hopefully we will start to click sooner rather than later.
Not sure my friend emnez has the financial restraints thing right has I believe we have one of the top 5 budgets in the league.
We are under performing at the moment but if that changes then we are in for some good times.

getting a bit panicky at the moment we have got 2 home games coming up and we need some points not a lot between those just above the bottom and us we cannot coe when

sorry I pressed the wrong button with my 75yr old fat finger what I was saying we don't seem to cope when teams get in our faces we need to show some grit at the moment and start winning at home think it just a lack of confidence

I agree Tommatt our home form is a concern at the moment as is confidence ,but one good performance and who knows we could be back in the race . Gary needs to use his squad over the next two matches . Maybe have Diamond and Holness in for saturday ,Sharps and Cansdell-Sheriff back on tuesday night maybe . Delap would be a bonus and i think Knowles should be given his chance from the start at least in one of the home games . 4 pts should be the minimum target to aim for ,certain players need to come out the blocks and start delivering or expect to sit it out on the sidelines if they under achieve .
