Phil Jones

Jones does a good dirty job in midfield but that's it really. Against teams which you expect to beat and when he is expected to keep the ball and use it well, he looks like fish out of water. He is not comfortable in posession.

Could be useful in the holding position in midfield of 3 against top teams

Jones isn't that bad goig forward, when given the freedom to make runs he really is a force to be reckoned with.

Yes he'll never play a cute pass like Silva or Keep the ball like Xavi. But you put Phil Jones at full speed against anybody and they'd struggle to stop him, he made a few of these runs last night.
I'm more comfortable with jones in there than anybody else until January, when Carrick returns he should partner him.

Busby, you're not wrong. Spot on in fact. But the fact he's our second best midfielder and our best fit midfielder should be something to be embarrassed about.

Maestro the pun king returns

Watch jones's second half performance again if you get the chance. Some of his touches and the energy he played with was like a breath of fresh air. He was second half MOTM for me.

Would like to see jones and Carrick get a run together.
