Alex Ferguson Biography

Fergie has made a few errors in his book which I instantly spotted. Considering he has been in the game so long how can he get certain years and ages of players mixed up unless it was the authors who were just plainly being lazy.

Here are some examples Fergie mentioned how United tried to sign Rooney when he was 14, then again at 16 and got him when he was 17. They signed him when he was 18 in Summer 2004. He also kept going on about how Ronaldo was 17 when they signed him in Summer 2003 but he was 18.

Then when discussing Rio Ferdinand he mentioned something about some back injury that had an effect on him that game against Man City in 2009 when Bellamy stole the ball of him and scored that unbelievable goal. I'm assuming this is that goal in the 2009/2010 season. He mentioned in the 2nd leg against City at Old Trafford Rio played very well. What 2nd leg in 2009? the only 2nd leg I recall United and City playing was the league cup semi final in 2010 so another error.

It seems rather bizzare that a non United fan like myself has a good memory with instances like this but the most successful manager of all time made a few errors.
