Chambers - Surely you keep your best players in the squad as a contingency in case you're losing? They may care more about the league but nobody would say no to winning the cup, and nobody wants their fans to get upset because they've slumped out in the first round.

(Especially as those fans might start hurling coins...ahem).

I honestly think if Mad Mario lost that bag of chips off of his shoulder, he has the very real potential to be the best striker in the world (yes, really)!

However, Milan DID release a statement on the clubs official website saying that the player was definitely NOT for sale!

I also think, what with Mario's maverick ways, there's little chance that Wenger would be prepared to instigate a bid.

What would be more likely (imo) would be a move for AC Milan's other forward, Stephan El Shaarawy. Although any move there would almost certainly come in the summer, by virtue of the player recently undergoing foot surgery that will rule the player out for 2 to 3 months...

Berbatov would be a great option for you guys.

That makes him more marketable. Being not cup-tied. He can play for arsenal in any competition now. But I doubt we get signs him.
