This is really sad news to me.
Ian Redford leaves lots of memories with me and fellow bears I'm sure.
My most abiding memory of Ian is as a youngster in the late 70's is a Scottish Cup match against St Johnstone at the old Muirton Park with Ian scoring a late equaliser in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
One of my fondest moments as a young bear back then.
God rest your soul Ian Redford

Won't pretend that I knew anything about Ian as a person, but obviously knew him vaguely as player. Didn't stop me from getting a shiver when I heard the terrible news.
53 - no age at all - I'll be 57 in 2 weeks time.
As we always say, make football rivalries seem so trivial.
RIP Ian

Puyol
I remember Ian as a classy, silky player I wouldn't have minded seeing in the hoops.

I just want to say on the Rangers thread about Ian that I think it's absolutely fitting that you're having a minutes silence for him rather than a minutes applause. I'm sure it'll be impecabbly observed by all as the overwhelming majority of minutes silences are.
