I was listening to BBC Radio Scotland on Saturday afternoon and heard them talking about Hearts current Administration punishments.
There seemed to be this confusion that the signing ban placed on Hearts was not given to Rangers. While I think this may be technically true as I dont think we were ever given an official ban, were we really allowed to sign players?
I seem to remember we were trying to bring in Daniel Cousin when the Admin event happened and it was blocked by the SFA.
The guys on the radio seemed to think Hearts were being punished more than Rangers as we were given a signing ban but had a month window to do some business. Total cobblers!
Remember, I'm talking about when we were in Admin. Nothing to do with the signing ban placed on the club when we went into the 3rd Division as the club was not in Admin by then.

they should be allowed to sign players under 21. seems a fair compromise. you can't just jettison players to save cost and then want to bring it others.
They are down anyway. They should have been down this year but delayed admin. might have been better for them

I'm right about Cousin though aren't I? I'm sure the SFA blocked his move because we were in administration.
Then we didn't bring anyone in until the 5 way agreement stuff was all hammered out.
As you say, it would be stupid to allow a club who can barely afford to cover its costs already to bring in more bodies when they are guarenteed to get relegated already.

Nah we (whyte) messed up the cousin signing I believe.
What annoyed me about the radio coverage was how they were saying that none of what's happened to hearts is the fault of the players or fans. It's purely down to one madman on the run from the law so it's a disgrace they are being punished severely.
The exact same applies to rangers and yet there was a constant q of people wanting to add more punishments or pit the club out of existence.
Ridiculous double standards by the BBC as usual

they're in admin for 1 reason, they cant afford to pay their bills and they plan to fix this by increasing liabilities
when the rules were re-written after the debacle that was our admin it should have included a blanket ban on signings period.
Also, as has been pointed out, they did their level best to delay admin till the season started to mitigate the financial impact which is far worse than anything we did before we entered admin
Absolutely zero symathy for the club or the fans just as we were afforded none. I am still waiting on these buzz words that were so popular a couple of summers ago to reappear such as sporting integrity, financial doping etc

One ban that was applied to Hearts (not sure if it's the present one) allowed them to sign under-21 players.
For a ban we got it was only under-18s we were allowed.
