how is he overrated, he's top defender who hasn't lost for nearly 2 years with Merts. He's shackled most of the attackers he has come across.

cause he keeps finding himself out of position so either he makes a rash decision to recover or hope mertesacker rescues him (which he does a lot of)

Still think Mert and Kos have doe a better job against SAS then anyone else this season.

Kos and Mert's defending styles really compliment each other well. There isn't one thing missing between the two. Pace, Aerial ability, intelligence, good tackling. And then you have Kos who is good with the ball to play it out.

Mertesacker has the physical ability, power, aerial ability, tackling, marking, Set Pieces side to his game.

Whereas Koscielny makes up for his pace and ball playing skills, marking, dropping deeper and playing our from the back which Wenger likes to play.

It's a partnership that works and I don't know who that dimwit who said Koscielny is overrated but he certainly needs to earn more on Arsenal.

Theo IS better than Lemon

Quite a lot of Arsenal fans used to say the same thing about Mert. I knew nothing about him when he first joined, and immediately thought what is this huge, clumsy, dangly mess? But hes gone from strength to strength and turned many critics into fans. A majority of people see his class now, a great leader too.
