Stan has progressed a lot in the last year and he looked like a winner even before Nadal's injury

I think that it was noble of Nadal to fight on and not retire from the match. That would have been a hollow victory for Stan and not been any kind of match for the fans to watch. Instead he fought on and won a set, and who didn't think he could have gone on to win at that point?

Stupid of Stan to be demanding to know what was going on with Nadal though.

No praise whatsoever in that post towards Stan.

Before Nadal got injured, he was a set and a break up. Remember that? It happened only like 2 hours ago!

Great credit for Nadal and his trojan like spirit, but give Wawrinka some credit also!
He was brilliant, no hollow victory at all. Be happy for him!

Brilliant tennis from Stan to win first set.

You could see Rafa in pain but I hate the timeout just before opponents serve, but Rafa was clearly in trouble you could see from service speed and lack of movement.

Thankfully Stan closed out that second set as you could see it was affecting his concentration.

I actually started feeling sorry for Nadal, was very brave of him to continue, you can see what a fighting spirit he has but also that is integrity and respect otherwise his retirement would have detracted from Wawrinka's win.

Great dignity from Wawrinka after winning, no wild celebrations but hopefully a belief now that he can get to Semis, Finals and win some more.

Well done to both players and especially Stan.
