The Ultimate Warrior has company in the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame class. Jake "The Snake" Roberts was named as the second member during the Monday Night Raw telecast. The induction will take place at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans.

The event's official Twitter account was the first to broadcast it on social media.

Congratulations @JakeSnakeDDT, the 2nd member of the @WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014, to be inducted April 5 during @WrestleMania. #WWEHOF

One of the greatest and most chilling heels in the history of sports entertainment will get his due. Roberts was the master of the DDT finishing move and a commanding force on the microphone.

Many of the same creepily awesome vibes Bray Wyatt creates with his promos today are reminiscent of the energy Roberts brought to telecasts for over two decades in the WWE, WCW and ECW.

WWE announcer Justin Roberts was one of the first to congratulate the legend of the squared circle.

Congratulations @JakeSnakeDDT #WWEHOF class of 2014. One of my all time favorites, one of the BEST. #RAW

— Justin Roberts (@JustinRoberts) January 28, 2014
The man himself had this response via Twitter:

The prodigal son is welcomed home. Thank you WWE & all my supporters for sticking by me. I hope all are enjoying as much as I am.

Roberts, who is now 58 years old, had a troubled upbringing, career and post-career. But he has recently gotten his life on track with the help of another former wrestler, Diamond Dallas Page. Roberts discussed his demons and recovery in an episode of HBO's Real Sports.

DDP has been instrumental in helping other former wrestlers, like Scott Hall, get their lives together after battling substance abuse. In an industry filled with stars with sad endings, Roberts has become a bit of a success story.

Seeing him inducted into the Hall of Fame will be awesome because of his in-ring and mic brilliance. But it'll also serve as a symbol of a man overcoming terrible hardships.

After seeing the HoF inductees at the moment and looking at dirtsheets saying Sting will debut in the coming weeks/months with a HoF induction in 2015 it makes sense. You can't have Sting in the HoF without him being the headline inductee in my opinion. Also there are rumours he could possibly debut or be teased in a video next week because RAW is from Omaha where he currently lives.
