Stories in today's papers that we turned down a £900k bid from Forest for him. I'd be sorry to see him go as I have no doubt that he's our best player. However, with finances the way they are....

Wallace isn't as good as David Robertson or Papac let alone Numan
also van bronckhorst played in midfield for Rangers, he only developed into a LB at Barcelona so its not even up for debate to compare him to any Rangers LB as he never once played there for us

also im not saying Wallace still wouldn't have shown loyalty to Rangers in 2012
im saying that if he was fantastic I reckon a club would still have bid for him even after tuping over.
im pretty sure had an EPL club offered him 30k per week he'd have taken it
the tupe thing was choice, he chose to stay with rangers for reasons listed and that also ruled our risk of getting no club
I love Wallace, very good player, loyal and I want him to stay, all im saying is he is not as good as some want him to be and If he is to be sold, I want at least 2.5 million

smid
Robertson played as a wing back so wasn't depended on to defend as much so to speak , esp in the air as Rangers always had a gough, brown, petric, bjorklund , McLaren to do that.
papac stood out and played very well in the champions league and uefa cup v some of the best teams in Europe, when Wallace does that, then perhaps ill agree that Wallace is a better player

I'd be sad to see him go. He's the only player of a decent level that we currently have. That being said, he does tend to get overrated by Rangers fans, the same ones who called him a waste of money pre-admin, but for some reason that is part of the course for us. I've seen folk saying he's worth £10m plus, while others say he could easily get into other teams down south.
That said, if Forest want him, then cash plus Billy Davies please.

' Read that Fox has gone to Forrest on loan which would certainly scupper any Wallace move'
Wigan are still interested though, plus they have more money to spend than Forest.
