Billy's Boots..

Bristol Ciy's first England international was striker Billy Jones who was selected after bagging 26 goals in 62 appearances for the Robins during the 1899/1900 season.He made his international debut on 9 March 1900 as England took on Ireland at Southampton.Jones had the distinction of being the first City player to be awarded a benefit match with City taking on Third Lanark in 1903,earning him a not unsubstantial £102 in proceeds..

Are you sure there wasnt a City player in the England squad for the 1738 European Championships ?

BRR it was the Julie Reemy World Cup in 1738,
Euro Champs in 1736 and 1740 I would have watched it on the old gas powered TV but as I was a young sprog at the time I got sent to bed at 1730
