I cant believe that for disagreement over a paltry 15,000 Arsene and Arsenal are going to let Samir Nasri, one of the most entertaining players at Arsenal, and the most productive player leave! He is not asking for 200,000 per week!, Though even some headless chicken in the premier league earn that already! This is the paradox, it is OK for the club to charge the highest ticket prices of all teams across Europe, yet the club still cant pay key players money that all the top three teams in the league (plus a couple of teams lower than that) can very easily pay the same caliber of players. It makes me wonder, exactly what is the 'real' philosophy of this club, its management and its new owner?

oOgO0OnzOo© (U1023): Nasri this season
1. French Player of the year
2. In the PFA team of the year
3. Arsenal fans polled him 3rd best performer of the season
4. Second and third overall goal of the season for Arsenal
Even a blind man can see that Nasri is worth what he is asking for

I appreciate they are negotiating but it just still seems far too high for a player of his calibre. If it takes a half season of performances to deserve a wage like that imagine what he will ask for if he performs week in week out for 5 years.

If he performs like that week in week out, he would be the new Messi and you know Messi by mid last year was earning 570,000 a week!

Yeah ok bad example, he would be worth it then but would Arsenal be able to afford it?
Thats the other question I guess. Still imo I don;t think he is worth what he is asking. Needs to do a lot more than a half season wonder for me.

Nasri holding Arsenal to ransome, I take it Arsenal fans will be saying this if he signs new mega deal ????
After all the Gooners still to this day harp on about Rooney apparently holding UTD to ransom.
Clearly Nasri would like to sign for UTD !

oOgOOOnzOo: Who was the the second highest scorer at Arsenal last season? He hasnt asked for more than Fabregas and since you 'know' more about Arsenal you should know that contrary to what the media says, Fabregas is at 115,000. Nasri wants 110,000! The club is offering 90,000

Are you his agent?
Nope! So stop spouting garbage then.
These guys want what every other player is getting. You are either foolish or have a brain in balance, perhaps both. Nasri wants as much as he can get his hands on and there are plenty on players in smaller teams earning double his wages.
If I was him I'd look at the club; they have a massive ground full every week, have some of the highest priced tickets in europe and have some of the highest TV revenuse in europe. If you are a top player at your club and you have a half decent agent you merely point these facts out, suggest that you are the reason (or part of) that the ground is full and ask for what you feel is your fair share.

None of those are real things though.
I'm not sure about this one. I kind of agree that Arsenal must expect to pay the going rate for a player of Nasri's level (and that's not saying he's necessarily worth that, but certain other clubs would certainly pay that amount and more). I also don't blame Nasri looking for more money, when he knows that he could earn serious bank elsewhere, especially if he goes somewhere on the cheap or free (next summer). However, at the same time I don't like the club being held to ransom, and the knock-on effect it could have with other players' wage demands, plus he really did only have half a good season.
Don't really want to see him go though, so I do hope they can work something out.

Tips for a relaxing summer
1) Stop believing the red-tops and getting your knickers in a twist over every rumour
2) Remember that any quotes made by an agent are purely designed to try to engineer a bigger pay-day for himself and his client
3) accept the fact that like everyone else, players want to be paid as much as they can get.
4) ignore wums.

when Fabregas had 5 games out, Nasri scored 5. later Fabregas has 4 games out, Nasri scores 4.
Gota keep em both tho.
