I know most of the talk has been about Ozil and Arsenal's performance, but how good is Philipp Lahm? How many players can excel as a right and left back and then easily slot in as a defensive/creative mid? The chip for Muller was excellent. Exceptional player.

One of the best fullbacks of all time imo. Can see him at bayern for atleast another decade yet. Sort of like zanetti at Inter

best right back currently playing, it would be pretty tough to exclude him out of the top 10 lefts backs, and would probably be in the top 15 defensive midfielders

Considering that Pep has worked with the likes of Xavi and Iniesta, the fact that he says Lahm is the most intelligent player he has ever worked with is very high praise.
Lahm is one the best players in the world, and if Balon D'Ors weren't so fixed towards goalscorers, Lahm would be top 5 every season.
He has been the worlds best FB for years.
