United and Everton are no longer even a distant threat, whereas you guys have been impressive apart from when we thrashed you at WHL. You are our main threat now and I think it will go down to the wire but hopefully we'll just pip you.

There's no denying that Liverpool have been riding their luck in the PL over recent weeks.
Just recently they were gifted an injury time penalty to beat Fulham, a penalty to draw vs Villa & a comical penalty to beat Stoke - which was the flukiest win any team has posted this season, except Villa beating Saints away.
When their luck ran out vs AFC in the FA Cup, they were duly beaten (by AFC's 2nd XI).
Liverpool may finish 4th but certainly no higher. They don't win enough on the road - just 3 Ws in their last 13 road games.

Liverpool will probably win the league, referees, the Liverpool loving media, lady luck and plastic fans all over the country are intent on it.

I think the fact you haven't had the distraction of European games has helped you but you deserve credit for the way you've played this season.
few more twists and turns yet so we shall see how things pan out.

Liverpool have the firepower to overcome their defensive deficiencies, as their goals for and against show. Also believe that Liverpool have an advantage with their remaining fixtures. We won't finish top 4

"Performance wise, we haven't been great. A few thrashings aside, we have been average in a lot of games."
agreed
we were pretty mediocre up until a couple of months ago and despite the trashings we've given away cheap points to West Brom and Villa recently and blew an easy chance to beat City.

The whole 'myth' about Liverpool this season comes from the first few matches. We were pretty rubbish but somehow ground out a few narrow wins.
People got hyped up about the results but they were a big step back in performances from the prior season (and we were regressed from the year before for at least the first few months).
I found it concerning but people looked at the table and the results and completely ignored the actual performances because we were in 1st (but only two points off 6th most of the time).
