Euro 2016 qualifying: Group D

Thoughts on the group?

I'm a Poland fan - probably the only one on this site - and wondered what your thoughts were on our group?

I expect Germany to run away with it, as many do. But between us, you and Ireland there could be an interesting battle for the second automatic qualification slot then of course the play-off place.

Clearly the key games are the head-to-head matches and whether anyone can maybe get something at home to Germany. This is also providing no one slips up against Georgia or Gibraltar (who seem to fancy their chances).

We start at Gibraltar in their first competitive International before Germany and Scotland at home in October. It's key we start well and win two of those games.

We also have Ireland at home last which could be a decider for a certain position.

I suppose my big question to you guys is, what's the change since the World Cup qualifying campaign? Both of us had poor ones but it seems quite a few Scots are confident ahead of this group for Euro 2016 despite a poor showing in the last World Cup qualifying campaign.

The key for us (scotland) is having our best 11 fit and available. Any injuries to likes of the fletchers and brown and i think we will struggle.

Remains to be seen. Strachan has had a good start to his Scotland career in a WC group that was all but finished, while MON has still to show what he can do at the level, tho his record at club level speaks for itself.

Games between ourselves and Poland will all be tough as that is where you would expect 2nd place to be from.

Looking forward to this more than in the recent past, thanks to Strachan.

Next Wednesday's friendly between us will be interesting. We recently drew 0-0 with Ireland too and lost to them last February. We also have a friendly v Germany in May so we will know quite a bit about our opponents.

It's the same with us re injuries. Blaszczykowski is out until next season and Piszczek is only just back from 5 months out. If we keep those two fit plus Lewandowski we have a chance.

WGS is our key.

He took a very average Celtic team to the champs league last 16 and has done the double over Croatia.

A very astute manager who knows how to win games

We should all join up as.. I dunno.. allies? And make sure Germany don't win

Although I'm sure Ireland would bottle it and stay neutral
