we finally look as if we are getting it right defensively, and the midfield looks terrible, and upfront we still got tip tap tip tap about instead of shooting. Got to buy, and buy quality very quickly now....
God help us.
How ironic!

Please god do help us and avoid injuries to Vermaelen, Sagna and Kos.

Well he has spent some money on an attacking player this summer.
He looks neither "super" nor "quality" from tonight's outing.

Arsene, if you're not spending anything.
GIVE ME THE MONEY!!!

we look fairly solid defensively. but of course, if one of our starting CBs makes a costly mistake we will of course all jump on their backs.
it was inevitable though, that once tommy v was back, we would look better at the back.

to be honest i was a little disappointed by the defence tonight - as a collective, that is. the only individual that disappointed me was gibbs, he was out of position on far too many occasions. koscielny and vermaelen did fairly well, but quite a few times they held onto it too long in dangerous areas. sagna was immense, man of the match for me.
the midfield was pretty poor. song especially was abysmal - i lost count of how many times he lost the ball in the final third and left the defence exposed. and on a few occasions his decision making was very poor .
rosicky and ramsey were pretty quiet... although rosicky seems to be improving a little in the two games i've seen so far. he seems to have a little of his old swagger back.

Update: Wenger will NOT be holding a press conference after the Udinese game. Look out for an exclusive interview on Player later this week

i thought koscielney was very poor. What was he playing at when he passed it straight to their player and djourou had to save us with a last ditch tackle?

Rosicky was good in the first half, but he looks like 45mins is all he has in him at the moment.
The rest of the midfield wasn't at the races for much of the match, although Song sporadically did some nice work.

That was one (terrible) mistake. He played well for the rest of the match, apart from his stupid foul in the 93rd minute.
