I see the usual comments aplenty on the site....let's look at the facts!
Arsenal's starting line up tonight cost the club approx £150 million. Bayerns cost the club about £165 million
Last year Arsenal's wage bill was approx £143 million
Last year Bayern's wage bill was approx £112 million
But never let the fact's get the in the way of the 'poor us' story. Didn't they do well & proud against the mighty Bayern! It was the ref's fault etc.
Both have new stadiums and are a good comparison. Bayern have just been managed much better...
Is it the usual....

They win the FA Cup this year after beating Hull and it will give Arsene a mandate for the next 3/4 years of underachievement
Eventually if they win something of note what will the message be. I was right, don't worry about the previous 10 years...

I don't think he's taken them as far as he can in the league. I think there's a lot more to come from Arsenal domestically if Wenger stays and builds a side.
In terms of the CL, however, I think it is just beyond him.
His teams flattered to deceive in the CL even when he'd built some of the finest teams in Europe, I don't really see that changing because he's got a bit more money - one final, a semi and a few quarters isn't great considering he's been in the competition 16 years and had some quality sides. The second round seems to be as far as they go on average.

Told you so many times your Arsenal obsession is just plain creepy. Banned from the board but still posting your ill-informed garbage everywhere. And usually tediously repetitive stuff.
And where the fact did you manufacture Bayern's wage bill from.

Seems like something you dragged out of your ar.se to suit your obsessive anti-Arsenal agenda. Once again, why do you post more about Arsenal than all other oppositions teams bar Liverpool combined?

Daily Mail....
Some on here really are blinded by the truth. The approximate figures used are for the last full season. No idea what the clubs will actually spend this season but granted after last seasons 'success' the Bayern bill is sure to rise...as is yours!
It's really about making a point that without exception and including the manager those at the Emirates constantly play the 'poor us' card...
As the rest of the world knows this simply isn't true and the club runs on a substantial CL budget akin to a lot of clubs it's meant to 'compete' with.
As usual instead of reasoned debate you get this 'obsession' stuff. No one forces you to comment.... I just find it absurd how so many have been so hoodwinked....but as these responses prove, you literally will never learn. Shame

But you've been telling us now for how long that we're hoodwinked while your smartass self has it all worked out. We've heard you a million times already. Maybe focus a lot more on your own club.
Your Bayern wage bill crap as I said was dragged out of your ar.se. This is for 2011/2012 as well:

It's all irrelevant in any case cos Bayern's dominance as by far the biggest club in the German league and consequently their monopoly of the best German talent makes our clubs incomparable considering we have vastly different challenges from them in our domestic situation.
There are tons of Arsenal fans who criticize Wenger but you live in a bubble where we're all sheep that believe the same thing and only you in your unique wisdom has uncovered the contrary truth. Focus more on Liverpool that have been mid-table for nearly half a decade on a CL budget and quit boring the fack out of everyone with the same stuff you were bleating throughout the summer.
