A wacky scenario.
Borussia Dortmund have won their first leg against Real Madrid 4-0. In the second leg, Real Madrid are winning 5-0, Dortmund end up having 5 players sent off, would the game be credited as a 3-0 victory to Real Madrid? Would Real Madrid be knocked out of the competition?
Is there a precedent, or rule for this?
Fun, stupid question

surely Dortmund would need to forfeit the tie
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely, they forfeit the one game, and not the entire two legs?

Madrid would appeal and Dortmund would be put out of the competition for failing to control their players.
Besides how would Dortmund fare against Bayern/Barca with that amount of players suspended? Unless they sent out the youth team to get sent off.

I don't know if it works the same in 'real football'
but on Fifa if you have 5 people sent off, you automatically forfeit the game 3-0

Ah ok
I don't play Fifa

Have you tried crimping them down, like you do with a SIM card in an iPhone?

I think it's the tie overall if it happens in a 2-leg k.o. compatition.

Who would go through then in this scenario? Dortmund or Madrid?

That Boy Ronaldo
-------------------
Madrid would go through 5-4 on aggregate as Real would be adjudged to have won the second leg 5-0 (this scoreline being upheld as it is greater than a 3 goal margin).
It would be possible for an ambiguous situation if, for example, in the second leg, Dortmund were reduced to 9 men for two last man challenges that lead to penalties and red cards in the first 15 minutes. This would mean that they would need to stop Real scoring 3 more times with a huge numerical disadvantage.
To overcome this, Jurgen Klopp instructs three of his players to deliberately get themselves sent off by starting a fight with the Real players.
Dortmund forfeit the game, but go through 4-3 on aggregate.
There could well be a rule to prevent this from happening in 2 legged ties, but if there is, I am unaware of it. It is very probable that if a situation similar to this occurred then the offending team would be kicked out of the competition.
The only example of a forfeit in a 2 legged tie, that I remember, was in an Milan Derby in the Champions League in 2005, when Milan were awarded progression due to crowd trouble.
