I mean I can understand why the scousers are getting excited about liverpool, and I can sort of understand the media getting carried away even if I don't agree with it, but why are rival fans at Spurs, City, Man Utd, some Chelsea fans and even some Arsenal fans bumming Liverpool so much?
Its obvious that City are going to win the league. I remember when they were going for the title in 2009 and Utd were obviously going to win the league. Thus nobody took their challenge seriously and it was just a plot hyped up by the media to make the season interesting - a plot that no one outside liverpool bought into. So why are rival fans buying into it this time?
Everyone keeps saying it's because they play entertaining football - Arsenal have been playing entertaining football under Wenger for the last 18 years and all we get from rival fans are taunts about not winning anything for 9 years, even though Liverpool have spent more money and have only won the mickey mouse cup in the same time, which doesn't even count.
People are also talking about what a great job Rodgers are doing but that's only because liverpool aren't in europe. In the last 4 seasons when they've been in europe they've finished 7th or 8th. Make no mistake, Arsenal are better than Liverpool and only two liverpool players would get into our squad. Next season when Liverpool and Everton have european football they will be back in midtable where they belong.

There is no doubt we will strengthen in the summer. FSG tried to buy Costa, Mkhi and Willian, for big money. One of the reasons they didn't join is because of a lack of CL football. When we have that we will attract players of this ilk, and we have the owners who will pay out for them. On top of that our younger players are a year older and wiser. We've not even seen the likes of Alberto and Ilori this season, they'll feature next year and are both highly rated.

Put those few players alongside Ozil and you can see why we have over taken you. Over 40 million for a player who has flopped at the part of the season his team needs him most.
