What I like about the Atletico tie is it avoids the "siege mentality" and all the hysteria and bitterness and anger that comes with it that will just serve to distract everyone from the game. I don't think it would help us either. I don't like when the games tend towards amateur theatre and not football.

The Atletico tie will almost certainly be a simple no frills no fuss game of football and I like that. Allows us to focus on the game and do what we do best.

I agree with all this, but the only problem is that I think they will beat us..

I would of preferred bayern then real than atletico. Kinda p!!ssed we got atletico. They're in my view a team who set up like us but better.
Bayern are not as good as last year and are playing like barca now, it's only robben and Ribery who change games. And we could of beaten bayern playing how we did against,IMO, a better barca team 2-5 years back.
Atletico is the toughest IMO and I can't believe we got them. Still with second leg at home we got a good chance

I hate this draw. Its the worst one for us.

Good draw on paper and I'm sure we can beat anyone in Europe especially with a certain portugeezer in charge

However I think i would rather bayern or Madrid

Atletico are playing very very well in their league and I think we perform better as underdogs. Our tactics are usually spot on when this is the case.

For his game regardless of what the bookies I think most people see us as favorites for this game.

I also think this is a game Which is hard to predict, I reckon this game will be harder to approach tactically which I feel will be the same for both managers.

This is why i didn't feel comfortable with the tie, against madrid or bayern the chelsea siege mentality would shine through and that gives us the edge

This tie is more uncertain.

I am still confident that we can get positive results both home and away this time and learn from our errors in Paris.

There are No easy ties at this stage but I'm starting to believe that we could witness another CL trophy

Ps has any team in history won 3 European trophys in a row. If not his chelsea team will go down in history.

Toby I know what you are saying is true and I would love to see Chelsea take on Bayern Munich in the semi=final and then Real Madrid in the final.I have got a gut feeling that even that can happen due to our worldclass manager in Jose Mourinho who is at present on the same level as massive European managers like Bill Shankley of Liverpool and Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United!

I was busy organising my mate's wedding so I have just found out about UEFA Champions League draw.
