Good morning my brothers and hello ladies . I wanted to start the weekend with something that has been on my mind and that is the ‘spoilt fan’ moniker labelled at a lot of Utd fans on this board. I have also called people spoiled fans and gloryhunters in the past and wished for some to go as well.
However, recently I have noticed that people who find our current position unacceptable, are called spoiled fans and other silly names which truth be told are not accurate. Yes, some people demand success and some are gloryhunters but truth be told, the gloryhunters are of no real concern as they support trophies and will be buying new club shirts at the moment.
That brings me to the crux of this article, what exactly is wrong with fans of arguably the biggest club in the world having high expectations for their team? What is wrong with wanting the best players in the world playing for their team or the best manager in the world managing their team? What is wrong with expecting a title challenge, cup runs and a decent spell in Europe? What is wrong with wanting your team to win every game? What is wrong with moaning when your team loses and what is wrong with calling out a manager for incompetence at this level? I may not agree with how some of the views are presented but that does not in any way invalidate the points being made.
We are Manchester United ffs, have worked long and hard to get to where we are and truth be told, anything below 3rd place is unacceptable for a club of this stature. What I have found disappointing is that some have already lowered their expectations as a result of incompetent management which is a great disservice to the club you claim to support.
Whilst we cannot win all the time, a club of our stature MUST challenge. To not challenge is unacceptable and that is not because we are spoiled but because we have heavily invested in making ourselves the juggernaut we are in world football.
So can we please stop the spoiled fans BS, the Utd fans that demand their team be successful are not spoiled but want their club to be the best of the best and if you do not want that, one has to wonder why you do not. Lowering expectations and setting targets unworthy of our club are truth be told a disgrace.
We have come a long way and cannot go backwards, so please if you take issue with people who have those views, ask yourself, why do you? Why should Utd not be the best of the best? Why should we not take steps to ensure the legacy of great men is maintained forever? Why put up with mediocrity? Why accept incompetence in management? Why prolong the tenure of a manager who has failed to live up to the standards we have set?
We used to be the bench mark for English football, why throw this all away in a bid to win the bestest fan trophy or the bestest club trophy for standing by incompetent management?
Makes no sense whatsoever and one has to wonder where else events like we are currently experiencing will be tolerated.

I am allowed to get things wrong and I hold my hands up and admit it and not invent new excuses every day like you do for Moyes.

you didnt get anything right or wrong mudd. Moyes became utds manager and you were forced to give him a chance. The only differance is you gave up on him a lot quicker than the fans still willing to back him. I wonder how soon after you wrote those 'back moyes articles' did you stop standing by your new manager as fergie requested.

Moyes admission over why he left van Persie on during the Newcastle United game vindication of Verheijen's long-running censure that Moyes focuses primarily on results rather than the process (which yields good results in itself), that Moyes is perhaps insecure and only looks at the short-term?

fergies made a few mistakes that the club are paying for
moyes being one of them is hard to argue against when you look back on this season.
Dosent look like he will be going anywhere this side of christmas however.
Hel get another summer window and till december to show he has a grip on the job.

dont know mudd
liverpool are now odds on for the title which was unthinkable this time last year. They were showing signs of improvement granted but not enough to overhaul ourselves chelsea and city but thats whats happened.
Within a season of fergie retiring they have clawed back a title and moyes was fergies choice wtf must fergie be thinking. To be honest for that alone moyes probably deserves to be sacked.
