Just perusing the rags, and some photos of Raheem bounding over to embrace Brendan Rodgers, it's something that warms my heart as a Liverpool fan. This young lad was perhaps a hairs breadth away from becoming nothing, despite his ability. He obviously felt sheer affection for our manager and it's fantastic to see from a young lad making his way in the game. Not a hint of arrogance as is so common from young players these days.
I've been bashed for criticising FSG, but in the end someone must have moved to get Brendan in after he turned our advances down.
Whoever he is I want to shake him by the hand. Because Brendan has produced a bigger turnaround in our fortunes than any manager since Bill Shankly. Look at the point swing against Utd for example, and the move from 7th to 1st.
Anyway I digress, back to Raheem, a player almost lost at one stage, couldn't shoot looked light weight and with a raft load of personal problems. Improved by the staff along with many others, like Flanno for example.
My god, I'm so proud of all that's been achieved this season so far, I'm a far less bitter sceptical ARE than before, it's just I'm not quite sure who to thank.
I would be so happy to see the club carry of the title again. It might not happen, but we deserve it already IMO.

Sterlings 1st goal hug out with Brendan.

I do wonder how many posters on here are sock accounts. For instance, I reckon the Arsenal board must have a few - there can't be that many Muppets in one place at one time.

There was an Arsenal fan with a Liverpool sock account a few months back, his Liverpool account was banned but his Arsenal one remained. When I questioned him on it, he said it was only once and he was only having a bit of fun.

I was sceptical too but wanted to give them a chance to prove them selfs.

I was opened minded but never had any reason to think badly of them, they said things and then did. They provided considerable funds, something we hadn't seen in a couple of seasons and went about things in a way befitting of the club, trimming the wage bill, getting in more British players and bringing through the youth.
Also sacked Hodgson, after giving him a chance, appointed and sacked Kenny at the right times and got Rodgers in to go through with the long term goal they had, which is now working, ahead of schedule. For non-football people, who supposedly don't have a clue, they've certainly learned on the way and made the correct call on most occasions.
They also wiped most of the debt off the club and are now going to extend Anfield which I'm sure what most Liverpool fans want.

Those of us who dident blame them for all the poor management by the last set of owners?
had we got some english owners in would you have been sceptical of them after stagnating under our previous english owners?
Most people wanted DIC but they went in to administration a few years after G+H bought us, we dodged an even bigger bullet there.
Most of us managed to look past "american hatred" and see that these guys had a proven track record of managing sports franchises and had success with more than one, in more that one sport!!
all the previous owners had a track record of was leveraged buyouts, a fast increase in value then a quick sale..
somehow you managed to get two sets of people - easily distinguishable - completely confused

FSG tried going things based on stats :
Appointed Hodgson - Manager of the year in the previous season.
Bought Downing - Top assist maker in the previous season.
Bought Carroll - the next big thing in the previous season.
That didn't work, but at least there was reasoning behind it. They changed it.
It now all works.
And they gave us JW Henry.
And his tweets.
And his missus!
