Just wondering were the top 4 English teams will appear in the seedings.Obviously if Chelsea and Arsenal get through they will be in the top group but were will City Liverpool and possibly Everton be. Its the Liverpool City ones that puzzle me as Pool havnt qualified recently but had a long and distinguished history in the comp. We managed to get through the group stages so just wondering how it will work

Personally I think the team that finish first in their domestic league should have the best seed, the team that finish second have the second best seed, and so on.
Although I appreciate in the eyes of UEFA this is heresy and I will probably be tracked down using my ip address before being imprisoned in Sepp Blatters basement without trial.

My view is that cup competitions should not be seeded. I know that means that a less fancied team may get easier draws to get through the later stages but that is the beauty of a cup competition for me.
It's seeded for the money and that makes it difficult to break into the top teams.

3 year cycle as Darren said for me.

It doesn't seem right that the 4th place club, usually Arsenal, have to play qualifying games first but automatically go into Pot 1 if successful.

Clearly the 5 year period is designed to protect the "big" clubs
Although we are 22nd we will be in the second seeds due to clubs higher than us failing to qualify
As we will lose our poor 3.585 09/10 score next season we should be a solid second seed

The Champions League and Europa League are not cup competitions they are Leagues, the clue is in the names.

BP isn't it the champions league Cup? AS such a hybrid.
Personally I think all cup competitions including the WC should be knock out comps and totally unseeded in ALL sports including Wimbledon, snooker ad union and cricket.

The actual trophy may be a cup but i've never heard it referred to as the Champions League Cup, it's a League or it's a cup it can't be both and it's a League format.
I agree that it should be knock out.

Its a league to start then in the final rounds its a knock out cup....what we all know it really is, its a cash cow for the top clubs of which we seem to have scraped in by the skin of our teeth.
