Now that Diaby is back and ready on the last year of his deal which is next season it's written that he'll give us something to think about next summer. Just like RVP he'll suddenly be dependable next season I can feel it but he won't leave because as well as not being a he's grateful for Wenger's patience. He's just what we need in our midfield someone with presence that can play a bit
I do wonder if Wenger can restrict his freedom and if his delicate lung-busting runs are timed better he'd stay a lot fitter. The one thing that frightens me with him at DM is he's very confident of his ball retainment skills and sometimes dribbles in dangerous areas that's why he benefitted off Arteta last year, this time around it'll be Ramsey meaning Diaby would have to be the mature one but he is a watered down Yaya and that's good enough for us, he has skill, can operate well in attacking positions, decent pass, strength, drive etc.
Ideally we should buy a commanding ball-winner but I think Wenger will only address the striker problem he probably believes the playmakers can occupy the midfield therefore I'm counting on Diaby to save us and I believe he can!
P.S Anyone following Coquelin's progress? I've always thought he'd make a good squad player and his capabilities of playing full-back will be crucial for us especially if we don't replace Sagna. Always thought Francis to be a decent player
Diaby's RVP Season Is Upon Us

It would be nice to see some aerial presence in midfield. Our hobbits do get shown up these days.

Abou Diaby is absolutely useless. Having 2 good games just after coming back for injury is not impressive. With all that adrenaline that comes with making a return, and him being an Owen Hargreaves level sick note, he is bound to turn up and play well for the 180minutes he can manage before his fibreglass knees go again. He's garbage and not worth a place in your squad. Give up on him. His career is dead.

That sort of attitude would not have seen you land RVP MR so I suggest you let us be the patient club where the likes of you lot and other rivals can later benefit off their long awaited breakthrough
