One thing I can't work out is the lack of Guus Hiddink's name in the frame for the Utd job....may be missing something (ie - has he already ruled himself out?) but for me would be a good shout - a winner, respected, worked with the big names.

He's already signed a contract with the Dutch FA I think. Neville and Woods are at United till the end of the season, the others have fecked off.

If he were a few years younger and not semi-retired (i.e. only doing national team coaching), he'd have been among my favourite options for the job. Outstanding record of making the best of any ensemble of players. The perfect man for a footballing clean-up job.
