The Posh V The Valiants

Peterborough host Port Vale, having secured the final play off position.

Not much is at stake, except that a Posh win would be good preparation for the play off games. Additionally, it gives the Posh players a chance to impress ahead of selection for the first play off game on 10 May.

I'd like to see us win 2-0 (not too many winning goals, to avoid near future complacency - no goals conceded, to start a run of no goals conceded).

UTP! (and good luck to Swindon and Leicester in securing three points on Saturday).

Fergie, League One manager of the month for April

Fergie has said that two of our youngsters will be starting on Saturday, including Ricardo Santos, a big strong speedy right back. Should be interesting.

Yes 2-0 sounds the optimum score, good luck with that.

We'll be thin on the ground against Rotherham, what with suspensions after the blood bath at Notts County (who incidentally turned their pitch into a version of Passchendaele, only without the bullets). I want us to finish above the Blunts, a draw should be enough, but I'd love to see us stick it to Fatty Evans so I'm hoping for the win..

A win for you, Don, would be a fitting end to a good season, which I hope will lead to better things next season.

Nice stadium (and day out for the big Posh following that goes there), but shame indeed about the notorious Notts County pitch. I suspect it lies over a tributary of the River Trent.

Good luck tomorrow avenging Fatty Evans

Peterborough V Port Vale today.

Will it be Peterborough V another P(reston) next Saturday in the play offs?

Most likely I think.

Leyton Orient, in the end; and if there's one team I'd like us to be knocked out of the play offs by it would be Orient, who were the most skilful side I have seen this season.

As for today's game, Fergie made eight changes, electing to protect and rest his key players. Consequently, it ended up a 0-0 draw. On the plus side, 18-year-old debutant Santos put on a man-of-the-match display, which augurs well for our future; and Newell put on a good substitute appearance on his return from that sending off at Wembley.

The home crowd were in good voice in readiness for their usual 12th man support in the play offs.

So Wembley, will host a north-south final. Here's hoping, we can pull the rabbit out of the hat and represent the south on 25 May.

We gave Rotherham a goal start in 58 seconds, not a good idea.

From his pre-match comments Fatty Evans would have preferred to avoid Preston. I think it'll be close between you and the O's and I see the winner meeting Preston.

Good luck and enjoy
