So, you know the result now Darn, a shame for Halifax, but woeful defending cost them big. I thought there build up in midfield was good, but the finishing could have been better.
Overall, Cambridge deserved the result. Maybe next season for the Shaymen.

Not going to negotiate the 'woefull' tag.
This was a highly entertaining game as far as I'm concerned.
At 1-0. it's all even, So to progress Halifax needed to score. It was always going to be hard from then on.
Cambridge are a huge physical side..the 2nd goal was the killer - on the counter...
It could have been more.
This was made obvious by the substitutions available to Richard Money,,far bigger in depth squad, A full time team against the part timers.
'A shame for Halifax' nah ! They worked wonders to even be in the play offs.
Halifax wouldn't have opened them up if they'd still been playing, They just didn't have the skills. But hell did they give it a go.
This manager, Aspin, & the previous 5 seasons have to be the best times in the clubs History. regardless of the leagues they have been playing in.
No one who watched or attended could have been disappointed with the entertainment on offer.
(Same with the other tie ! Gateshead v Grimsby, terrific game)
It's rough raw football. They make mistakes galore..all of 'em..& get on with it.
I like that.
