We cant really say that GB? Lovren had two DM's in front of most of the season while Skrtel and co our end had a experimental Gerrard in front of him and some dodgy full backs.

Lovren should be nothing more than £12m max.

tbh.....whilst all very good/decent players....i really feel for saints...

shittty for poaching there gaffer...even worse if we poach some of there bright lights.

fair comment mate....if the club wants to set up as a develop then sell concern....then i suppose,yeah fair enough.....they doing a great job.

The teams have really plundered them haven't they? It's so difficult to improve if this happens to them consistently. However no one's looking at Clyne who I think is a good player.

they will be pretty minted after this summer to be fair and they have such an amazing academy in a couple of years Ward-Prowse will be sold for £30m.

Southampton can afford to sell. They must have the most successful youth policy in English football. Just look at who have come throught their books. Just look where the Gooners would be without Wilcott, Ox, Wilshere etc.

It was always going to be impossible for Saints to keep their stars.

When you have a load of highly rated players but can't get in Europe its inevitable.

Quite simply the players have outgrown the club.

It happens to every club, even the biggest clubs when they fall below expectations (Mascherano, Torres etc).
