So Cresswell has been confirmed as a West Ham player.

At the end of the day we need to recruit a fair few players so we can't justify blowing £7 million plus 5 years wages on a full back.

As gutted as I am that we didn't get him, I totally agree that the club did the right thing in not pursuing him.

Time to move on.

As for other full back targets. I think Martin Olsson has to be the stand out target amongst the other names linked. He's only 2 years older that Cresswell, has pace (something we've been sorely lacking) and has good Premiership experience. If we can get him at a reasonable price then i'll soon forget we were ever even linked with Cresswell.

On the right side of defence i'd really like us to go for DeAndre Yedlin. I'd imagine his World Cup performances will have pushed up his valuation and alerted other clubs but he gets my vote if we can afford him.

Bizarrely West Ham, prior to signing Cresswell, had offers for Olsson and Andrew Robertson knocked back, two left backs that we've been linked with.

Pre season training starts on Monday -

We can barely field a 5 a side game

There are no fullbacks at the club
There are no speedy wingers at the club
There are no goal scorer's at the club.

We need at least 7 signings imo, but CL seems to think it will only be 4/5 more.

And the guys we are getting linked with are underwhelming to say the very least.
