According to the International Business Times, Forest value Lascelles at 6m and Spurs are willing to match that offer.

Should be more in my opinion, although he is unproven in the Prem. Still this would be our biggest transfer since Jenas methinks.
Lascelles 6m

If anybody can persuade both of em' that their careers's can blossom by staying at Forest for at least another season then it's going to be Stuart, he has talked a lot of sense so far!

when you think we on our 5th full time manager in 2 years there is a pressure to have immediate success straight away, so selling your thrid choice CB for £6M with the view of re-investing for a promotion push this season is going to be tempting for SP
shame as i would like all our younger players to stay

Agree that a big deal would be tempting for Pearce but I am ncouraged by his talk of emphasising that he wants youth to get it's chance in the first team and hope Lascelles would be central to that.

For me it's long term view versus short term view.
Long term if we ever get to prem and stayed there the cost to get a player of the same quality will be very high.
However in reality if we get enough for him now that he effectively becomes a swap for Jordan Rhodes I would take the deal.

If FFP looks like it may become a problem then it may be that either Lascelles or Darlow are sold to balance things up.
Could it be these stories may possibly have been leaked by the club to gauge supporter's feelings on each player? Whoever invokes the stronger reaction is favoured over the other?

It will be a tad unfair if it FFP does become a problem and leads to us selling one or two of our young prospects. I mean in the sense of a fellow Championship club able to fork out £10m+ on one player due to parachute payments and the like.
The club are very unlikely to have tried to gauge support opinion on these things.

QPR got away with it last season, Ray, Fulham will have taken note. £11m is way over the odds for McCormack but they have enough cash reserves to take a gamble. McCormack has been around for a while and only really come good in the last few seasons as far as I can see.
Also, I reckon the club listen to the fans far more then we imagine!

FFP is there to help the PL clubs stay in the PL or go straight back up. It is not there to help anyone else.

No disputing that.

It would make beating the likes of Fulham, Norwich and Cardiff that bit more enjoyable.
